Fabio Paratici Returns to Tottenham as Joint Sporting Director

October 16, 2025 – Tottenham Hotspur has officially welcomed back Fabio Paratici as joint Sporting Director, marking a significant shift in the club’s football operations. The announcement, made on October 15, 2025, follows the conclusion of Paratici’s 30-month FIFA ban, which stemmed from his involvement in a false accounting scandal during his tenure at Juventus. He will partner with Johan Lange, who has been promoted from Technical Director to co-Sporting Director, forming a dual-leadership structure aimed at revitalizing the club’s on-pitch success.
Paratici, who initially joined Tottenham in 2021, brings extensive experience from his time at Juventus, where he oversaw high-profile transfers. Despite his enforced departure in 2023 due to the ban, he continued advising the club remotely. His return is seen as a strategic move to leverage his recruitment expertise, particularly after successful signings like Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski, who remain integral to the squad.
Under the new structure, Paratici will focus on transfer windows and player management, while Lange will oversee scouting, academy development, and performance analysis. This collaboration, endorsed by CEO Vinai Venkatesham, signals Tottenham’s ambition to build a competitive team under head coach Ange Postecoglou’s leadership.
