Šeško Saves a Point for Man United in Post-Amorim Opener
Benjamin Šeško emerged as the hero for Manchester United on Wednesday night, netting a rapid-fire brace to secure a 2-2 draw against Burnley in Darren Fletcher’s first match as interim manager.

Following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim earlier this week, the Red Devils arrived at a freezing Turf Moor desperate for a spark. However, the evening began in nightmare fashion when young defender Ayden Heaven inadvertently diverted a Bashir Humphreys cross into his own net after just 13 minutes.

United struggled to find their rhythm until the second half, when Šeško finally silenced his critics. In the 50th minute, the Slovenian striker latched onto a precise through-ball from the returning Bruno Fernandes to slot home the equalizer. Just ten minutes later, Šeško doubled his tally, meeting a Patrick Dorgu cross with a clinical volley to turn the game on its head.

The lead was short-lived, however, as Burnley substitute Jaidon Anthony curled a spectacular 18-yard effort past Senne Lammens in the 66th minute to level the scores. Despite a late surge that saw youngster Shea Lacey rattle the crossbar, United had to settle for a point. While a victory proved elusive, Šeško’s resurgence offers a vital glimmer of hope for a club in transition.
